| Three Marin Pirate Swimmers receive MVP Awards from Pacific Swimming | |

Three Marin Pirates Swim Team members received Outstanding Swimmer honors at the annual Pacific Swimming Awards Dinner on Sunday, November 4 in San Ramon.
Nicholas Cruse was named 2012 Pacific Swimming Most Outstanding Age Group Swimmer, 12 Year Old Boys, Long Course (50 meter) and 2nd Most Outstanding Age Group Swimmer Short Course (25 yard). Nicholas broke the Pacific Swimming (Northern California) records for the 800 meter free and the 1500 meter free this past summer.
Riley Scott was named 2012 Pacific Swimming Most Outstanding Age Group Swimmer, 14 Year Old Girls, Long Course (50 meter) and 2nd Most Outstanding Age Group Swimmer Short Course (25 yard). In August, Riley won the CA/NV Sectional Championships in the 200 meter breaststroke in a time that was more than 1 second under the Olympic Trial qualifying time.
Scott Weltz was named 2012 Pacific Swimming Most Outstanding Senior Swimmer. Scott won the USA Olympic Trials in the 200 meter breaststroke (breaking the Olympic Trials record) and took 5th place in the London Olympic Games.
